Tommie Thompson

Quantitative Researcher

Tommie Thompson is a social science researcher with experience working on impact evaluations, randomized controlled trials, and international development projects. Before joining the Charter Cities Institute, he was a government consultant evaluating large-scale USAID and MCC projects in Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. He was also a Research Specialist at the Busara Center for Behavioral Economics, where he led behavioral experiments to address poverty in Kenya and Nigeria. His research interests include conflict, urbanization, and the political economy of development. Tommie has a BA from the University of Chicago, and an MPP from Georgetown University. He soon hopes to ride the entire NYC and DC metro systems in one day.
