In response to the global economy’s most challenging half-decade for growth in over 30 years, the Charter Cities Institute (CCI), in collaboration with the Center for Global Development (CGD) and Growth Teams, is proud to announce The Growth Summit: Recentering Economic Growth in Development. This two-day event will take place on October 17-18, 2024 at CGD’s Washington, DC headquarters. The Summit will bring together world-renowned academics, policymakers, donors, and development practitioners to reassert the importance of economic growth and structural transformation as key priorities in the global development agenda.
The event will feature a series of panels and open discussions with leading experts in the fields of economics, finance, and public policy. Attendees will explore the current state of growth in the global development agenda and identify actionable solutions to promote growth, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.
