Senior Special Projects Manager
Carl Peterson is the Senior Manager for Special Projects at the Charter Cities Institute where he leads partnerships activities and technical assistance projects for CCI. Prior to his current role, Carl served as a Partnerships Manager where he conducted engagement with both public sector and private sector partners, and prior to that as a Legal Researcher, where he co-authored “The Honduran ZEDE Law” in the Journal of Special Jurisdictions and contributed multiple chapters to CCI’s Governance Handbook, as well as numerous policy briefs.
He spent three years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in rural China, and holds a JD from the University of Washington School of Law, where he was on the editorial board of the Washington International Law Journal, and dual bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Near Eastern Languages. He speaks Mandarin Chinese at a limited working proficiency level.
