Abebe Gasparini

Research Intern

Prior to joining the Charter Cities Institute as a Research Intern, Abebe was a Don Lavoie Fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. He previously worked as a Geopolitical analyst for the Milan-based Think Tank Mondo Internazionale and was a business consultant for the US-based X-Culture Project and the Shanghai-based Daxueconsulting. He holds a BA in European Cultures and Linguistics from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and an MA in Political Science and Sinology from the University of Tübingen. In addition, Abebe integrated his regular education with a number of study-abroad experiences ranging from language courses at Tsinghua University to exchange and visiting programmes at National Taiwan University and Yonsei University. His Master thesis revolves around the comparative analysis of industrial policies in Ethiopia and Industrialised North-East Asian economies.
